EAIE and Global Higher Education

The EAIE (European Association for International Education) is the most significant community of European and international higher education professionals. Its annual conference and exhibition attract thousands of participants from across the globe, providing a platform for professional dialogue, showcasing new trends, and building new partnerships.

Active Participation in the Conference

Representatives of the Tempus Public Foundation will take an active role in the conference programme, participating in professional sessions and networking events, and presenting good practices that support the internationalisation of Hungarian higher education.

The Foundation will also participate in the EAIE poster exhibition with three posters and host its own dedicated session, where participants can learn more about the opportunities offered by the Pannonia Scholarship Programme.

The posters will cover the following topics:

  1. How can a long-term scholarship programme influence mobility trend?
This poster presents the impact of long-term scholarship programmes – such as Stipendium Hungaricum – on mobility patterns, the growth of incoming student numbers, and the internationalisation of higher education.

  2. Comprehensive, continuous practical support for internationalisation of HEIs
The focus here is on the practical tools and services that assist universities and colleges in implementing internationalisation on a daily basis, supporting both student and staff mobility.

  3. Networking events to train and support international staff at HEIs
This poster highlights how networking events and training sessions support university staff working with international partners, promoting knowledge-sharing, professional development, and collaboration.

  4. Creating collaborations through research – research-focused mobilities for teachers

Why is it worthwhile for teachers to participate in international mobility programmes?
The poster presents three scholarships available in Hungary for teachers, offering opportunities for long-term research abroad.
