CEEDUCON is Central Europe’s foremost internationalisation conference, gathering experts in higher education, mobility, and policy development. Held at Prague’s O2 Universum in 2025, the event brought together hundreds of professionals from across the region.
Tempus Public Foundation (TPF), as co-organiser and active contributor, participated in the opening panel and delivered three high-level professional workshops.

Shaping the Future of Internationalisation - Highlights from the Opening Panel
In the opening panel discussion, Richárd Bodrogi, Director General of Tempus Public Foundation, joined international experts to reflect on three key themes:
- Reimagining internationalisation for the next decade
- The growing role of alumni in international engagement and policy shaping
- Building strategic partnerships in a rapidly changing global landscape
The conversation underscored that international cooperation, robust alumni networks, and long-term institutional partnerships will play a critical role in shaping the future of higher education.
TPF-Led Workshops - Practical Solutions for Students and Institutions
Tempus Public Foundation delivered three thematic sessions offering insight, good practices, and forward-looking approaches to some of today’s most pressing internationalisation challenges.
1. Learning Together – New Approaches to Collaboration Between Domestic and International Students
Drawing on experiences from the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme, Georgina Kasza and Andrea Vörös explored how cooperation between Hungarian and international students can evolve from integration-focused activities into transformative learning experiences.
The session emphasised that well-designed joint learning environments increase engagement, foster mutual understanding and drive institutional innovation. The session also centered on how Hungarian universities are enhancing their support systems for international students through:
- improved integration processes,
- cross-unit collaboration,
- structured academic and administrative assistance.
The takeaway: student-centred services and data-informed decision-making significantly enhance the international student experience and integration outcomes.
2. Alumni Networks and Global Connections
Representatives of Czechia Alumni, Campus France, DAAD Germany and Alumni Network Hungary engaged in a vivid discussion on:
- motivations behind national alumni programmes,
- organisational challenges,
- innovative solutions for building globally connected alumni communities.
Viktória Stift, Head of International Communications and Alumni at TPF, presented the foundations of Alumni Network Hungary and highlighted the crucial role of close cooperation with universities and diplomatic missions.
3. Regional and Global Synergies in Higher Education Mobility
In his presentation Richárd Bodrogi introduced the Hungarian mobility ecosystem and highlighted that Hungary ranks 36th out of 109 countries in the QS World Future Skills Index, ahead of its GDP-based position (53rd). This indicates strong alignment between education and the future needs of the labor market.
In the panel discussion that followed - moderated by István Verses, Director of Erasmus+ and Higher Education Internationalisation at TKA - the participants shared their thoughts on the partnerships established through scholarship programs. Jánosy Orsolya, the Head of the International Office at the University of Debrecen, explained that the institution’s international ecosystem functions much like a mobility puzzle. By strategically combining the various opportunities offered by different mobility programmes, the university is able to maintain and continuously strengthen its international cooperation network.

Shared Knowledge, Shared Future
For Tempus Public Foundation, CEEDUCON 2025 was an inspiring opportunity to exchange expertise, launch new collaborations, and contribute to shaping regional strategies in internationalisation. Once again, the conference demonstrated that Central European countries are strongest when working together to address the future of higher education.
